My job takes me to spectacular places. I'm lucky that talking about whisky takes me all over the UK and sometimes even further afield.

Join us at Burgie House in April 2023 for our exclusive week long Guided Speyside Distilleries Experience. As our guest you will enjoy a packed itinerary of tours and tastings at at least a dozen malt whisky distilleries. Your home for the week will be the grand but extremely cozy Burgie House near Forres, set in many acres of beautiful woodland perfect for early evening walks before enjoying a dram in front of a roaring fire. Wonderful Scottish cuisine will be prepared for you by our chef, including plenty of local produce wherever possible.

Whisky can pair beautifully with chocolate! We host whisky and chocolate tastings with handmade chocolates from The Highland Chocolatier in Grandtully, near Pitlochry in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

I love nothing more than taking a wee break of an evening during a busy whisky trip just to relax on the loch fishing for wild Hebridean brown trout.

Our week-long Guided Distillery Experiences are very about whisky and the wonderful distilleries and people who make it. Our trips are also about great food, we like to ensure that at the end of the day, our guests retire happily after a few drams and a hearty meal.

The highlight of our trip to Islay last week was Iain MacArthur's Warehouse Experience at Lagavulin Distillery. During this wonderful, immersive tasting, guests get to enjoy Lagavulin straight from the cask and take in the sights, aromas, and history of the dunnage warehouse.

Wow! What a week we had on our Guided Islay Whisky Festival Experience at Feis Ile 2022! Our guests from all over the world enjoyed beautiful weather, luxurious accommodation, fine dining skilfully prepared by our chef John, wonderful distillery tours and tastings and of course plenty of drams along the way! It was so great to be back after such a long time.

It is a super day here on Islay! I was lucky enough to stay in the house in the pic for 3 months when I first moved to Islay. Not bad at all!

We had a wonderful afternoon down at the Caol Ila Feis day at Bridgend Square this afternoon. I was offering people samples of this beautiful single cask Kilchoman bottled by Mark Unsworth. The cask previously contained Bruichladdich which I bottled 10 years ago before Mark had it filled with Kilchoman new make spirit. Cracking dram! Just a few bottles remaining!

I'll be pouring samples of a very special single cask Kilchoman single malt whisky at @islay_studios in Bridgend Square, Islay on Monday 30th May from 10am until 11.30am. A few years ago I bottled a beautiful Bruichladdich matured for 10 years in a first fill sherry cask. Once the cask was bottled Mark Unsworth then filled the empty cask with Kilchoman new make spirit. The cask then rested for 10 years at Kilchoman and has now been bottled at natural cask strength. It is a real rarity to see single cask Kilchoman from a sherry cask so please come along for a taste and a chat and maybe to buy a bottle!

Home for the next week or so whilst we enjoy the Islay Whisky Festival! After a couple of years with no Feis it is good to be back to celebrate Islay, Islay distilling and to meet old friends.

I had a fantastic time on Islay last weekend hosting a Guided Islay Distillery Experience for two awesome guests, excited and looking forward to their first visit to the West coast for a very special birthday celebration. It was a whirlwind tour of the island as we only had two days but as always, we planned a packed itinerary.
