Our guests have been treated to lots of foody treats specially prepared by our talented chef John Moir. They have also enjoyed wonderful cocktails created by Rebecca Prunty, a little bit of the The Castle Macclesfield transported to the Isle of Islay. What a great few days we've had with our guests here at Feis Ile 2026, The Islay Whisky Festival! So far we have visited the open days at Lagavulin, Bruichladdich and Caol Ila and right now our guests are enjoying a tour and tasting at Kilchoman Distillery. Just had a fantastic visit to @theglendronachofficial where our guests from all over the world enjoyed an exclusive tour and whisky and chocolate tasting before hand bottling distillery bottlings. Here is Rebecca signing her bottle which is destined to make the journey to @thecastlemacc where there is a chance that it might just end up on the shelves behind the bar! We've had a really good day here in Speyside at the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival. Our hosts at Tamnavulin gave us such a great tour. The distillery doesn't have a visitor centre so some of the team from Dalmore came down. The tour was nuts and bolts detail and just perfect. Our guests really enjoyed the warehouse tasting too. Midweek work in Watford today at The Grove where I hosted a whisky tasting for delegates at a conference taking place there. I was given a generous budget so got to present some absolute belters including a Caol Ila Feis release from 2014 with my name on the label. I had a fabulous time hosting a whisky tasting experience at @auchencastle yesterday for a lovely group of guests who had travelled from all over the world to gather for a very special day in the Scottish borders today. Our whisky adventures really started here when we launched The Queen of the Moorlands 12 year old Speyside single malt whisky in 2005. We were overwhelmed with the demand for this easy going, rich and sweet dram that was distilled at the iconic Glenfarclas Distillery in Ballindalloch. To finish off a very busy period of travel for whisky events far and wide Rebecca Prunty and I headed to the amazing Mansfield Traquair events venue in Edinburgh tonight to host a tasting for around 80 guests eager to learn all about Scotch whisky. Perfect weather for a long walk through Venice!
