Whisky and Chocolate Pairings with Handmade Chocolates from The Highland Chocolatier

Pairing great single malts with beautiful handmade chocolates is a fantastic way of introducing people who haven’t yet began their Scotch whisky journey.

This tasting works really well where guests within the party are a mixture of guests who already seasoned whisky enthusiasts but also for those who haven’t experienced the amber nectar before.

During these very special tastings we serve classic single malt whiskies with beautiful handmade chocolates from The Highland Chocolatier in Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands. These chocolates have been specially prepared to pair perfectly with specific single malt whiskies.

A sit down tutored tasting usually lasts around 90 minutes to 2 hours but we can tailor it to work with the timings of your event. We can also offer this tasting on a very informal basis and works well as an add on to your event whether it be at a drinks reception or on a conference stand. It is a great way to engage with and entertain your clients whilst they network.

We provide everything needed for the whisky and chocolate tasting including:

Whisky industry expert as host
Range of single malt Scotch whiskies
Chocolates to pair with each whisky
All glassware
Still spring water if required

Join Distilled Events for an Exclusive Whisky Tasting in Sheffield

We would love to see you at one of our exclusive single malt whisky tasting experiences at Picture House Social, Abbeydale Road in Sheffield in 2023. We regularly hold whisky tasting events in Sheffield and we have initially selected 4 dates for our events in Sheffield for 2023.

If you join one of our tastings your host will be David Wood. David was distillery manager at his favourite distillery, the mighty Caol Ila on the Isle of Islay in the Hebrides. Your tasting will take place in the cinema room at Picture House Social where you will learn all about the history of Scotch and how it makes the journey from field to table. As part of the experience you will be taken on a virtual tour of a distillery, the perfect opportunity to ask questions and to learn all about what life is like living and working at a remote Hebridean malt whisky distillery.

During the tasting you will enjoy 6 classic single malt whiskies from around Scotland. You will learn a little about each of the distilleries that has produced the beautiful single malt whiskies that you are tasting and David will talk you through his tasting notes for each dram. There are no right or wrong answers, it is all personal, if you are tasting bananas in the whisky, bananas it is!

My whisky tastings are different to those hosted by my competitors. My whisky tasting experiences are authentic. I’ve lived and worked at the coal face of spirit distilling. I have managed iconic malt whisky distilleries in Scotland, so when I talk to you about whisky, it is with passion and experience. I will not try to sell you anything other than beautiful Scotland and the wonderful gift to the world, Scotch whisky.

I don’t work for any brands, I’m not a sales representatives and I’m not a brand ambassador but what I very much am is incredibly passionate about good single malt Scotch whisky. When I host your whisky tasting for you I will present to you whiskies that I love.

I also host whisky and chocolate pairing tasting experience. This is a great way to introduce people who think they don’t like whisky to whisky! We use luxurious handmade chocolates procured from The Highland Chocolatier in Grandtully, Pitlochry in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

Join us at our favourite venue in Sheffield, Picture House Social for our Single Malt Whisky Tasting Experience. This exclusive whisky tasting in Sheffield will be hosted by myself, David Wood.

Whisky Tasting in Sheffield

The whisky tasting will take place at 6pm on Saturday 8th September at Picture House Social, Abbeydale Road, Sheffield. Picture House Social is a great venue with an awesome cocktail bar. There is also a pizza bar serving delicious pizzas and there is are table tennis tables so you can ping pong the night away after the whisky tasting!

During the tasting I will present six quality single malt whiskies from around Scotland. I’ll talk all about the history of Scotch and how it is made.
